Contraindications
Kambo treatment is advised against for individuals with the following conditions due to safety concerns:
- Serious heart problems
- Strokes
- Currently medicated for low blood pressure
- Brain hemorrhages
- Aneurysms or blood clots
- Serious mental health issues (excluding depression and anxiety)
- Undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy
- Taking immune suppressants for organ transplants
- Pregnant or potentially pregnant women
- Breastfeeding women (under 12 months)
- Addison’s disease
- Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
- Severe epilepsy
- Recovering from a major surgical procedure
- Any previous esophageal tear or rupture
- Under 18 years of age

Precautions
Certain situations may require special attention or considerations before, during, or after your Kambo treatment. Please inform your practitioner if you:
- Have taken Bufo Alvarius within the last eight weeks.
- Have taken Iboga within the last eight weeks.
- Have undergone a Sananga/Bëchëte dieta in the weeks prior to the session.
- Have recently participated in a multiple-ceremony retreat involving prolonged vomiting.
- Are taking immune suppressants for autoimmune disorders.
- Are taking any prescription drugs or have recently stopped any medications.
- Are using slimming, serotonin, or sleeping supplements.
- Have an active drug or alcohol addiction.
- Have engaged in long-term water fasting (7 days) before the session.
- Have undergone colonics, enemas, liver flushes, or any water-based detox within the last 3 days.
- Have had any viral conditions (e.g., Lyme disease, hepatitis, dengue).
- Have a chronic health condition.
- Have a history of bulimia or anorexia.
- Are diabetic.
- Have asthma.
- Have abnormally high or low blood pressure.
- Are undergoing fertility treatments.
- Are taking birth control pills.
